Debbie Simon

Debbie began her nursing career with Methodist in 1976 and has served in leadership roles since 1978.  Most recently, she served as COO/CNO for 15 years.  Under Debbie’s Leadership, Methodist became the first magnet hospital in downstate Illinois.  She also sponsored the expansion of the Methodist College and revitalization of the UPH – Methodist campus.  As Regional President and CEO, she developed partnerships with Proctor Health Care, Incorporated and Progressive Health Systems to create a regional network of physicians and hospitals.

Debbie earned her BSN from the University of Illinois and MBA from Bradley University.  She is actively involved in the community.  Currently, Debbie serves on the CEO Council, Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, Peoria Promise Advisory Board, the Advisory Board for Bradley University Foster College of Business, Wildlife Prairie Park Board and was also co-chair for the 2015 Heart of Illinois United Way Pacesetters campaign.

Debbie is a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin, Illinois.  She and her husband, Rick, have one son, David.
