AIS partnered with Illinois State University during 1997-2001 and innovated InfoTech, an accelerated training/mentoring program to address the skills shortage for the Year 2000 (Y2K) programming problem.  The initiative transitioned more than 120 under-employed and dislocated workers to entry level programming jobs that paid middle class wages with benefits.

AIS is a winner of the 2013 U.S. Government Information Security Leadership Award (GISLA). AIS is providing leadership for a community economic development initiative to establish the first-in-the-nation Central Illinois Regional Center of Excellence for Secure Software. The goal is to create 500 middle class jobs in secure software production in Central Illinois during 2014-2016.
